The €2,900 guarantee, in full

Twelve months after you join the annual plan, if your income has not gone up by at least €2,900, I refund the whole €290. That is ten times what you paid me. This page is every condition, because a guarantee with conditions you find out later is worse than no guarantee at all.

What you have to do

  1. Join the annual plan.
  2. Run the ten prompts. That is the only thing you have to do.
  3. Between month twelve and month fifteen, email me two things: something showing what you earned in the year before you joined, and something showing what you earned in the year after.

Redact whatever you like. I need the figure and the date, not your address or your account number.

What I will not do

  • Argue about whether you tried hard enough.
  • Ask you to prove you attended anything or posted anything.
  • Require you to have used the community at all.
  • Make you chase me. Fourteen days from your documents to the refund.

Every question, answered

What counts as income?

Everything you are paid for working: base salary, commission, bonus and any contractor or freelance income. Gross, before tax. Investment returns do not count, because the guarantee is about what you earn, not what your money earns.

What is the baseline measured against?

Your gross earnings in the twelve months before you joined. A payslip, a contract or a tax summary from that period is enough. One document, redacted however you like, as long as the figure and the date are readable.

When can I claim?

Any time between twelve and fifteen months after you join. Not before twelve, because the guarantee is about a year of change, and not after fifteen, because at some point the year has to close.

What do I have to have done?

Run the ten prompts. That is the whole condition. Show me the outputs, or the notes you made from them, and that is enough.

What voids it?

Nothing else. Not asking questions in the room, not attending anything, not posting. If you joined, ran the prompts, and twelve months later you are not earning €2,900 more, you get the €290 back.

What if I changed jobs, or went freelance?

It still counts, and it is the most common way people hit the number. Compare total earned to total earned. If you went freelance mid-year, use gross invoiced.

How fast do I get paid?

Within fourteen days of me having your two documents. Refunded to the card you paid with.

Does the monthly plan have this?

No. The twelve-month guarantee is on the annual plan, because it is a twelve-month promise. The monthly plan has a seven-day full refund with no questions and no proof required.

Why the number is €2,900

It is ten times the price of the annual plan. I picked a multiple rather than a percentage because it is checkable in one subtraction, and because if this does not pay for itself ten times over it has not really worked.

It is also a number most people in this audience can reach with one conversation. That is the point of the whole thing.

The honest limits

This is a refund promise, not a prediction. I have no idea what your market, your manager or your year will look like, and nobody who tells you otherwise should be believed.

What the guarantee actually says is narrower and more useful: I am willing to be out of pocket if it does not work for you. Read what this is and what it is not before you read it as anything more.
